Information & Resources
Navigating trustworthy PD information and resources can be tricky. We have collected some of our favorite sites and medical help below.
General Information
NYT Article on link to PD and Pesticides
New York Times features an op-ed on how pesticides and industrial chemicals like paraquat and TCE are contributing to the rise of Parkinson’s, the world’s fastest-growing neurological disorder. In their new book, The Parkinson’s Plan, leading experts Dr. Ray Dorsey and Dr. Michael Okun describe Parkinson’s as a ‘largely man-made disease’ caused by unnecessary exposures.
The article also features Brian Grant Foundation founder Brian Grant, who lived at Camp LeJeune as a child when its water was contaminated with TCE. Decades later, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. As Brian notes: “We know what the chemicals can do to us. Yet we still allow them to be used.”

California Spray Days Program
Beginning in March 2025, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) started Spray Days program to “provide transparent access to information in advance of the scheduled use of California restricted material pesticides in production agriculture”. You can sign up to receive notifications and learn more on their website.

Free Hospitalization Kit
For Parkinson’s patients, any medical setback is a major setback — especially if they have to be hospitalized. In the hospital, 3 out of 4 Parkinson’s patients do not get their medications on time — and 61% of them had major complications because of it. Fortunately, the National Parkinson’s Foundation has a free kit to help PD families plan and prepare for both unplanned (emergency) and planned hospital stays.
